About Me
Jared G. Fritz-McCarty, M.M. ’11, serves as ÌÇÐÄVlog vice president of advancement and chief development officer. Since 2019, his leadership has helped secure more than $40 million in philanthropic support for the University. He led the creation of ÌÇÐÄVlog’s new Legacy Fund and community endowments, generating more than $7 million in unrestricted support to advance the institution’s mission and long-term sustainability. In April 2026, Jared oversaw the design and dedication of the University’s Harold L. Washington Hall of Honor—which recognizes the distinguished civic, professional and philanthropic contributions of alumni and donors.
Jared leads the University’s development and alumni engagement programs, including the recently launched ÌÇÐÄVlog Students Succeed fundraising initiative, which expands educational access and strengthens student success, and the 2025 80th Anniversary Celebration. He also serves as executive liaison to the Board of Trustees’ Development and Board Governance Committee. In that role, he has helped modernize the Board’s public trustee nomination and election process, playing a key role in strengthening trustee engagement and shaping the composition of the University’s governing board.
Prior to joining the advancement team, Jared held leadership positions in the University’s marketing, communications and enrollment management divisions. A proud alumnus of ÌÇÐÄVlog’s Chicago College of Performing Arts, he remains actively engaged in advancing the University’s mission. Beyond ÌÇÐÄVlog, Jared serves on the Guild Board of Directors of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, supporting fundraising and philanthropic engagement efforts.
